Booking Information

All levels of accommodation are available on the Gold Coast from caravan parks to five star luxury. Rates have been negotiated for Conference delegates at different levels of accommodation surrounding the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre. Prices for those venues listed below are valid for the Conference only if booked through Hoteliers International via the registration form. Information about accommodation can be obtained by contacting Vanessa Leeds at Hoteliers International.

A deposit equivalent to one night's accommodation, or your credit card details as a guarantee are required by the hotel to secure your booking. Cancellation in whole or in part less than 10 days prior to arrival may incur a cost penalty at the venue's discretion. Rates and all information are current at time of posting to the website and are subject to change without prior notification.

All listed prices are in Australian dollars and are inclusive of 10% GST (Goods and Services Tax). Please make your accommodation booking when registering. Bookings may be made when the registration form is available online. Deposit must be received at the time of booking via credit card details, cheque or money order, in Australian dollars and made payable on an Australian bank.

Tips for Reducing Costs

If you are traveling to the conference with other delegates, sharing an apartment or booking a twin room will greatly reduce your accommodation costs. One-bedroom apartments include one double bed, providing accommodation for one or two people. Two-bedroom apartments offer one double bed and two single beds, providing accommodation for up to four people. Apartments offer the additional advantage of allowing you to make your own meals. Twin rooms will usually provide two double beds.

If you don't know other delegates but still want the benefit of saving from shared accommodation, Backpacker Resort dormitories provide accommodation for up to eight people, providing the most cost effective accommodation. Backpacker Resorts include kitchen facilities on the premises providing a further saving.

Cabins and caravans are also plentiful on the Gold Coast providing accommodation for up to five poeple. Separate shower and toilet facilities are located within the caravan parks.

Backpackers Resorts & Caravan Parks

The following examples of Backpackers Resorts (Hostels) and Caravan Parks are simply a guide to what is available on the Gold Coast. IAAE 2006 and Hoteliers International do not specifically recommend any of these venues, but simply provide this information to assist with your accommodation decision. Please contact the venues directly to make your own bookings.

All three Backpackers Resorts are located in bustling Surfers Paradise, the tourist hub of the Gold Coast. From there, you can travel down the highway to the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre by local bus or take a five- to ten-minute taxi ride.
